National You Day

Hi everyone!!!

I hope YOU are well since I’ve last posted…so there is something that I have been working on putting together and hope you’re as excited as I am. National You Day will be celebrated in 2011 on 11-11-11…and guess what?!?!?!? WE’RE GOING ON A CRUISE!!!!!!

Here’s what you’re going to need to know if you’d like to be part of the most awesome National You Day celebration yet:

*We are going to Mexico for 9 nights…Yes, I said 9 nights. We are leaving from Los Angeles (San Pedro Port) on November 4, 2011 an 4:00 PM

*We will be returning on November 13, 2011 at 8:00 AM. So that means we will be celebrating National You Day onboard of the Carnival Spirit!!!!

*Here’s the Ports of Call (where we are headed): Los Angeles, CA, - At Sea - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - La Paz, Mexico - Mazatlan, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - At Sea - At Sea - Los Angeles, CA

*So the way to read the above schedule would be to start with the first day of the cruise on November 4, 2011 as the first day of the cruise, the second day we are at sea, the third and fourth days we are in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and so on…

*So you may be wondering…how do I get to take this AMAZING cruise?!?! And that’s what I’m going to cover below.

*We have a block of cabins held under the name of National You Day which offers us a special group rate.

*You will need to call 1-888-249-3978, option 9, then select number 1,  Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time to make a NEW booking.

*If you’ve already made a booking and have questions please call 1-888-249-3978, OPTION 9, then select number 2 for support. Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.

*There are different cabin types available, so please ask for the one YOU want. They start at an interior (without window) and go all the way up to suites, if YOU so desire. The rates are based on double occupancy so that means YOU WILL NEED A ROOMMATE/TRAVEL PARTNER or SOMEONE to share a cabin with. If YOU would like to come alone, that is FINE, but the cruise line will charge you like you are traveling with someone else (YOU’LL PAY FOR YOURSELF AND SOMEONE THAT’S NOT THERE). And yes, you can have up to 4 people in a cabin, depending on which cabin type you book, so please inquire.

*At the time you make a reservation, you will be asked for a deposit in order to hold the cabin. Depending on which type of cabin YOU book, this deposit can be refundable all the way up until final payment. Or if YOU decide to book the EARLY SAVER RATE (The least expensive due to booking so early, your deposit will be NON-REFUNDABLE). Please ask the agent that you speak with to fully explain this to you before you decide to make a booking.

*You must make a deposit with a credit card. You cannot mail in money or money orders or checks, sorry.

*Final payment will be due on August 22, 2011. So that means you have nearly a YEAR to make arrangements to pay over time!!!! You have time to find a travel buddy, make arrangements to get to LA and plan the vacation of a lifetime.

*This cruise includes: ALL THE FOOD YOU CAN EAT (VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN AVAILABLE), FREE ROOM SERVICE (Please tip your server), ALL INCLUDED ENTERTAINMENT, COMEDY SHOWS, LAS VEGAS STYLE SHOWS, WATERSLIDES, SWIMMING POOLS, TANNING/SUNNING, MINATURE GOLF, PING PONG, FREE CAMP CARNIVAL FOR KIDS OVER 2, BABYSITTING AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 2 (FOR A NOMINAL FEE) AND A TON MORE JUST FOR NATIONAL YOU DAY GUESTS!!!!!

*If enough people book, we will have a free one-hour open bar cocktail party, a $75 dollar per cabin on board credit (this means you can spend this $75 onboard the ship on whatever YOU wish, per cabin, not per person) and we will have a free 8 x 10 Group Photo so that we can remember how awesome our trip was.

*Don’t overpack, bring a lightweight jacket and clothing for 2 optional formal nights. All other clothing is resort casual (shorts, jeans, T-shirts, comfortable shoes, flip-flops, etc)

*Don’t forget the sunscreen!!!

*Bring money to spend while we are in port or if you would like to take a shore excursion.

*Cell phones DO WORK ONBOARD THE SHIP BUT WATCH THE CHARGES, WE WILL BE IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS AND MEXICO. Call your cell company before the cruise to check the rates for international calls and texts.

*Review the list on Carnival.com on “What to Bring” and “What NOT to bring”.

*Bring your camera of course for all of the beautiful ports we will be visiting and all of the fun we are going to have on board.

*If you are prone to motion sickness or feel that you may be, you may want to visit your doctor before the cruise. The ship does have stabilizers that minimize the motion you can feel while on board. Sea-Bands are a personal favorite of mine. You can find them at your local drug store plus a variety of motion sickness medications just to ensure you are prepared. Yes, you maybe able to find them onboard in the gift shop but they will be much more expensive than if you bring your own. The ship does provide free motion sickness medication.

Hi Everyone!!

Things have been crazy around here due to the preparation for National You Day. Just a little reminder to make sure that YOU order YOUR bracelets and T-shirts NOW…once they are gone, they are gone. And part of the proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of the United States. So do something good for yourself and the animals!!

I’m very sorry for the postponement of the National You Day concert/event that was to take place on 10-10-10 and any inconvenience that it may have caused. But never fear!! We will be celebrating as a community WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THIS WONDERFUL WORLD AT THAT TIME. We are working on some AMAZING events for 2011.

You be sure to keep 1-11-11 open and 11-11-11 for sure. We will be releasing details VERY soon about each date so that there is plenty of time to make arrangements if you would like to attend either event or hopefully both.

National You Day Concert?!?!?!

Well, do to forces beyond our control, we regret the postponement of the First National You Day concert.

But rest assured that the day WILL NOT be wasted. The day was created to celebrate YOUR beauty, bliss, wants and needs. And that’s exactly what we want you to do! Go out (or stay in) and do something that brings YOU joy. YOU are completely in control in choosing what you’d like to do.

So, In the meantime we are working on the 2011 celebration which will take place on 11-11-11 and this activity WILL take place and will be tons of fun.

You have a year to prepare for this “experience” and we will also be donating proceeds to a selected charity as well.

An announcement will be made soon, so make sure you check back and find out what this HUGE surprise will be for next year.

As always, you have the choice to participate but I truly believe that YOU will want to be in celebration with all of us.

All I can say to you now is: START SAVING AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE. This activity will be slightly pricey but YOU will get what you pay for, GUARANTEED.

I’m looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you next November…..and remember to start preparing now.

This has really been an uphill battle. Finding a venue, asking artists to play and trying to organize everything. Whew!!! Then this morning I wake up to some awesome food poisoning. Great!!! The food poisoning didn’t take away from all of the work that I had to do.

I really want this day to be a success. Even if you can’t attend the concert, PLEASE celebrate wherever you are. DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY! And you also can mail and use PayPal (coming VERY SOON) to donate to this event’s charity of choice….the Humane Society of the United States (for this particular event. It will change with each upcoming event.) . Any amount will help and I promise to make sure all the donations are collected an turned into the HSUS. You’ll even receive a receipt. How cool is that?

If you have any friends in the Southern California/San Diego that would like to play a set, sing a song, hoop or ANYTHING, please let me know. It’s for a great cause and you get to be seen!!!
